Franco-Prussian War + WWI Father & Son Photo, Document, Medal Group + Pocket Watch
Nice Grouping to Father and Son. The fathers group contains his Militar Pas with entries for Battles during the Franco – Prussian War at Metz and Sedan and other notable places in France, as well as documents pertaining to his military career and Award documents issued to him for the Prussian Kaiser Wilhelm I Centenary Medal of 1897 and his Commemorative Medal for the Franco-Prussian War 1870-1871 for Combatants. His other items are a Parade Mounted Commemorative Medal for the Franco-Prussian War 1870-1871 for Combatants and his Pocket Watch he carried with his initials engraved on the back of the case. There are 8 photos of the Son all Military, of him in his uniform as well as with members of his company 31st Infanterie .His documents consist of his Soldbuch that is well filled out with an entry for the Iron Cross 2nd class his Schiessbuch/Shooting book for the Gewehr Rifle, Arbeitsbuch with many entries, Award document for the Honour Cross for Front Fighter for Combatant, Wound badge in Black and his Prussian Landwehr Long Service 2nd Class. His medals are as follows Iron Cross 2nd class, Wound Badge in Black and his Honor Cross for Front Fighter for Combatant and finally his hat Cockade as pictured. A very nice Father Son group with great research potential spanning two different wars.
